Ministry of Law made a formal notification of the appointment of new judges

Rawalpindi: The Accountability Court judge hearing 190-million-pound reference against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi has been changed once again.
Judge Muhammad Ali Waraich of Accountability Court No.1 was hearing the 190 million pounds reference in Adiala Jail. However, now District and Sessions Judge Nasir Javed Rana has been appointed as the judge of Accountability Court No.1.
Judge Abida Sajjad of Grade 20 has been appointed as Judge of Accountability Court No.3. The Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had recommended the appointment of several judges.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Law made a formal notification of the appointment of new judges.
It is pertinent to note that in a hearing in June, Imran Khan's lawyers raised objections to the appointment of Judge Muhammad Ali Waraich in the accountability court.
Earlier, Judge Nasir Javed of Accountability Court Islamabad, who heard the 190-million-pound reference against Imran and his wife, left the charge of the post after completing the three-year deputation parade.
After which Judge Muhammad Ali Waraich of Accountability Court No.2 was assigned the additional charge of Accountability Court No.1 for three months.
