Lahore: Pakistani singer Aima Baig has faced criticism from netizens following her recent performance at the 'Pakistan and Indonesia Music Night' during the Jeddah Season in Saudi Arabia.
The controversy came shortly after she shared images of her Umrah pilgrimage on Instagram.
The event, which celebrated the music of Pakistan and Indonesia, featured several performers, including Bilal Saeed, TikTok star Rabeeca Khan, actor Kashif Khan, Indonesian singer Lady Rara, and the Sonu Dance Group. It was attended by a large audience.
Before the event, Baig had announced her travel abroad for work-related reasons, sparking speculation about a possible departure from the music industry. She later clarified that her trip was for professional purposes.

However, some netizens expressed their discontent with Baig's participation in the music event following her recent Umrah pilgrimage.
The juxtaposition of her religious activity with a public performance led to mixed reactions from her followers.
While some praised her for undertaking Umrah, others criticized her for performing publicly during the same trip.
