New York: The resolution to observe February 05 as Kashmir American Day was passed in New York (NY) State Assembly.

According to details, US has become the first state to pass resolution related to Kashmir Day. Governor New York Andrew Cuomo has issued the notification after assembly passed the resolution.
Pakistan Ambassador to US, Asad Majeed Khan has welcomed the move saying he is thankful members of assembly for passing the resolution.
Pakistani Consul General in New York, Aisha Ali said that the Pakistani community played a highly crucial role in getting the resolution passed through the assembly.
The Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed on Friday across the world with renewed commitment to bring Kashmir issue to the limelight and expose worst ever oppression being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces against Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
