Paris Olympics: Javelin throw final today

France: The final of javelin throw at the Paris Olympics will be held today in which 12 athletes, including Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, will be in action.

In the first round, all 12 athletes will throw the javelin three times. After three turns, the eight athletes with the best throws will take three more turns. The best throw in a total of six turns will be the player's final throw. Arshad Nadeem's number is fourth in the start list.

Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem will enter the field with a season-best of 86.59 meters. The season-best throw of four players in the final is better than Arshad's.

India's Kenraj Chopra's season best is 89.34 meters while Jacob Weidlich's season best is 88.65, Grenada's Andreasen Peters' season best is 88.63 while Germany's Julian Weber's season best is 88.37.

Out of the 12 players in the final, five players have a personal best throw of 90 meters. Arshad will have to throw better than them to win a medal at the Paris Olympics.
