Nepra hikes electricity rates by Rs. 2.56 per unit

Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has added more strain to consumers' wallets by announcing a Rs. 2.56 per unit hike in electricity prices.
The notification, issued by NEPRA, confirms that this increase is tied to the fuel price adjustment for the month of June. The price hike will be in effect for one month.
However, K-Electric and lifeline consumers will be exempt from this increase.
