Famous Pakistani singer Haniya Aslam passes away
Zeb Bangash said that Haniya died yesterday August 11 due to a heart attack


Lahore: Haniya Aslam, the singer and musician of Pakistan's famous music band 'Zeb and Haniya', died due to cardiac arrest.
Singer Zebunisa popularly known as Zeb Bangash shared several stories on her Instagram account and confirmed the death of her cousin singer Haniya Aslam.
Zeb Bangash said that Haniya died yesterday August 11 due to a heart attack. Artists associated with the Pakistani music industry are expressing deep sorrow and grief over the death of the singer.
Apart from this, on her death, Pakistani filmmaker Mehreen Jabbar also shared a long post and paid tribute to Haniya.

Popular Bollywood singer Rekha Bhardwaj also commented on Mehreen Jabbar's post and expressed her grief over Haniya's death.
Rekha Bhardwaj wrote: “I remember meeting her in Lahore. Loved her energy. May she return to eternal peace. Deepest condolences to family and friends. May Allah give them strength to go through this terrible loss”.
It is pertinent to note that Zeb Bangash and Haniya Aslam founded the music band 'Zeb and Haniya' in 2007, both of them rose to fame in 2008 with their song 'Pemana' in Coke Studio Season 2.
Haniya Aslam moved to Canada to complete her education in 2014 and started her solo career in Canada in 2016. After returning to Pakistan, she worked as a music composer in several films.
