Lahore: There is one day left in the Independence Day and the whole of Pakistan has been painted in the color of independence, green crescent flags have sprung everywhere.
August 14 is the Independence Day of Pakistan. On this occasion, everyone wishes to celebrate this day with full enthusiasm, therefore, the patriotic citizens are busy with preparations.
Important government buildings across the country, including Parliament House Islamabad, were decorated with colorful lights, national flags were displayed on the roofs of houses, buildings, and markets were decorated with flags, badges, and decorative items.
Expressing love for the country, Pakistan Horticulture Authority (PHA) hoisted the highest flag in Lahore after Wagah border. 200 feet high flag was installed in Jilani Park Lahore, Azadi float is also moving on GT road. A grand welcome is being given by citizens everywhere.
On the other hand, in the markets decorated in connection with the Independence Day, the bustle is on the rise. Along with adults, children have also come to the markets. Stalls are also stocked with flags, masks for children, badges, watches, and hats.
People are decorating their cars and motorcycles with green flags. People are also busy buying flags for their houses and women are buying green bangles.
On the occasion of Independence Day, green crescent-colored dresses have also become the center of attention for children. The girls are busy buying green and white colored frocks and jewelry, while little boys are buying moon and star themed shirts.
The children said that they will celebrate Independence Day in a grand way, wearing green and white clothes and enjoying themselves with their friends.
Parents are also not limited to shopping for children but are providing awareness about the importance of August 14. They say that along with celebrating the joys of Independence Day, the purpose of this shopping is to instill love for the country in children. There will be a grand celebration on August 14.
On one hand, the citizens are engrossed in preparations for the day full of joy and the shopkeepers who have set up temporary stalls are also earning well.
