IHC division bench heard the case and decided in favor of Janjua’s bail

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court granted post-arrest bail to PTI's International Media Coordinator, Ahmad Waqas Janjua, in a terrorism case.
The division bench, comprising Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Babar Sattar, heard the case and decided in favor of Janjua's bail.
During the hearing, Janjua's wife appeared in court alongside their lawyer, who argued that Janjua was forcefully taken from his home and a case was filed against him for allegedly possessing a Kalashnikov. The lawyer added that they only learned of the FIR after the fact and that Janjua was illegally detained for two days.
Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb inquired about Janjua's role in the media, to which the lawyer clarified that Janjua is PTI's International Coordinator and not affiliated with the media. The lawyer also mentioned that Janjua was arrested along with Rauf Hassan, who has already been released on bail.
When questioned by the court, the government's lawyer argued that 300 grams of explosives and a Kalashnikov were recovered and requested the dismissal of Janjua's bail application.
After hearing the arguments, the court granted Janjua's bail and ordered his release.
