All the prize money will be tax exempted


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday announced to reward Rs150 million for javelin star Arshad Nadeem.
This reward was announced during a special ceremony held in Islamabad to honour Olympic gold medalist.
"A letter has been written to President of Pakistan Zardari to reward Arshad Nadeem with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz," said the Prime Minister.
While announcing a grand prize amount of Rs150 million, prime minister announced that all the prize money will expempted from taxes.
"Punjab Chief Minister had already given a cheque of Rs100 million to the Pakistan’s Olympian star. Sindh government had announced Rs50 million for him," he said.
Earlier, upon arrival in Islamabad, Olympic star receive State Guest Protocol from the authorities.
