Wasim Akram stated that there is talent in our country, but it does not get opportunities

Melbourne: Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Wasim Akram said that the whole world has been stunned by the feat done by Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem.
Talking to the media in Melbourne, Wasim Akram stated that there is talent in our country, but it does not get opportunities. The whole world is stunned by what Arshad Nadeem has done with his hard work and opportunities. We are proud as Pakistanis but the whole world is proud of his achievement.
He stated that the feat accomplished by Arshad Nadeem has given hope to the entire nation that if the talent is provided opportunities and facilities, they can perform more feats. The problem in Pakistan is that there are no facilities, talent is not nurtured, all the sports bodies have to think together how to get funds. They should sit together, plan and build dedicated stadiums, if youths are not given opportunities, they will keep using mobile phones.
Waseem Akram congratulated and appreciated Neeraj Chopra that what a sportsman he is. Arshad and Neeraj's mothers have given a very good message. Sports is separate from politics; the connection of people is important. Both parents have sent a positive impression to the whole world and Arshad Nadeem has also done well.
On the inclusion of cricket in the Olympics, Akram added that there is a plan to include cricket in the Olympics, it is hoped that it will be in the next Olympics in the T20 format. If break dance has been included, cricket should also be.
Regarding next year's Champions Trophy in Pakistan, Wasim Akram said it is a big thing to have the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, for which Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is upgrading the stadium. I just believe that the fans should be transported to the stadium with love and facilities, security is very important but the fans should not be inconvenienced so that they can come to the stadium and enjoy.
