Chairman NAB, Director General (DG) NAB, and Prosecutor General have been made parties in Imran Khan's petition

Islamabad: The founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan filed a separate application to stop the proceeding of the 190-million-pound reference.
Barrister Salman Safdar and Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry have filed a separate petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to stop the 190-million-pound reference proceedings on behalf of Imran Khan.
In the petition, the founder chairman PTI has requested to provide the records of the 343rd executive board meeting of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), saying that it was decided to close the case in the NAB executive board meeting of April 2020.
Imran Khan challenged the August 12 order of the trial court in the IHC and that the investigating officer stated that the closure of the case was approved in the 343rd board meeting of NAB. The trial court had rejected the request to seek the record of the executive board meeting.
It has been requested in the petition that if the record of the executive board meeting of NAB is not presented, there will be a huge loss in the defense of the PTI founder. During cross-examination, the investigating officer admitted some things related to the 343rd board meeting of NAB. The record of the 343rd board meeting of NAB must be kept before the trial court.
Chairman NAB, Director General (DG) NAB, and Prosecutor General have been made parties in Imran Khan's petition.
