No room for political violence in US: Joe Biden
US President also stated that their decisions will determine the fate of the nation and the world for decades to come
Chicago: American President Joe Biden Tuesday said that there is no room for political violence in US.
Addressing the four-day National Convention of the Democratic Party in Chicago, Joe Biden stated that they have had an extraordinary four years, thanks to Americans.
He added: “I love Americans and everyone present in this gathering is close to my heart, good days are coming for us, and democracy will prevail”.
Joe Biden further said that Kamala Harris will soon become the president of the United States. Donald Trump has been making promises for four years, but nothing has happened, America is safer today than during the Trump era.
The US President also stated that their decisions will determine the fate of the nation and the world for decades to come.
Biden continued that he fulfilled the promise by bringing the first black woman to the Supreme Court of the United States. ‘I ask you, are you ready for freedom? Are you ready for democracy, if you do good, we will also do good, we have to strengthen our economy’.
At the convention, Biden will formally withdraw from the presidential race and make way for his running mate, Kamala Harris, to nominate the party's nominee for the November presidential election.
Less than a month after his abrupt withdrawal from the presidential race and Kamala Harris' entry, Democrats are paying tribute to the president for his long career in politics. These are the same officials who played a role in pulling him out of the race amid concerns about his health and age.
On the other hand, there is also a huge demonstration in Chicago against the US administration's support for Israel in the disastrous war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Tens of thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside the headquarters of the Democratic National Convention on Monday to denounce the US administration's support for Israel in the war on Gaza.
