Court adjourned further hearing of the case till Thursday while calling for CCTV

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Judge Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb Tuesday said that what is happening today was happening in the previous regime too, so there is no difference between them.
IHC Justice Miangul Hassan heard the petition for the recovery of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azhar Mashwani's two missing brothers, in which petitioner Mashwani's father's lawyer and Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan appeared in the court.
During the hearing, Justice Miangul remarked that the Interior Secretary, Police, Ministry of Defense, and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have been saying that the missing persons are not with them. If a common man or state officials have made them go missing, it is a crime in both cases. As many missing persons are happening in this government, it was same in the previous tenure as well.
The court said that we have to decide by looking at the Constitution and the law. ‘We hope that these people will recover with the efforts of the attorney general. If someone makes hate speech, then he should be made accountable, not the brothers. The father cannot be held responsible for the son and the son for the father’.
The petitioner's lawyer Babar Awan argued that Azhar Mashwani's father was picked up and released after 10 days. Azhar was also picked up and released after nine days. His brothers were picked up, it has been 72 days today, and they have not been released. Whereas, Azhar was told over the phone that his brothers are in Islamabad.
Babar Awan said that the routes of the vehicles which took the hostages from the house should also be traced, on this Justice Gul Hasan asked for the CCTV footage.
The court directed that the information related to the vehicles should be presented in the court in the next hearing and if there is CCTV, we should ask to install the screen.
Later, the court adjourned further hearing of the case till Thursday while calling for CCTV.
