JUI-F to launch its own movement sans political alliance: Maulana Fazl
JUI chief says political instability is harming and affecting country’s economy
Dera Ismail Khan: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), on Tuesday announced that his party would launch a mass movement [against the policies of the incumbent government] without any external aid or alliance of other political force.
Maulana told a presser at his residency that as the experience of a political alliance in the recent past had not been [result-oriented], the party would kick off its independent movement. "Yes, we no longer want to embarrass anyone or be ourselves."
He said he’ll play the role of opposition inside and outside the parliament with or without an alliance. The HUI chief was of the view that the country's establishment had now taken its internal affairs seriously.
He said, "If we’re given a guarantee not to interfere in the politics, we’ll not have any objection to our defeat in elections. We have objections over the results of elections."
The seasoned politician said that his party had no issue in holding the negotiation with the present regime but they [actually] lacked power and authority.
The JUI chief said that the political instability was harming and affecting the country’s economy, adding if the state itself became unstable situation like Bangladesh arose. "We don’t want to proceed toward Bangladesh like situation."
