Punjab Endowment Department has finalised the arrangements for the three-day celebrations


Lahore: The three-day celebrations of the 981st Urs of Makhdoom-ul-Aulia Syedna Hazrat Ali Hajveri known as Data Ganj Bakhsh will begin today (Saturday).
The Urs celebrations will start formally with the ceremony of veiling at Mazar. Senator Ishaq Dar will inaugurate the ritual of veiling and milk distribution.
On the other hand, the Punjab Endowment Department has finalised the arrangements for the three-day celebrations.
Administrator Data Darbar said that well-known scholars will address spiritual gatherings at Jamia Masjid Data Darbar while the gathering will continue till the second and third day of Urs.
He stated that all the arrangements including food and security have been completed. 4,000 policemen have been deployed for security.
