Urs celebrations, marking the 981st anniversary of revered saint Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri (RA), are underway and will conclude on August 26

Lahore: The Punjab government declared a public holiday in Lahore on Monday, August 26, in honor of 981st annual Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA).
According to an official notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department (Welfare Wing), this district-wide holiday will apply to all government offices in Lahore, with the exception of the Punjab Civil Secretariat, its associated departments, and regional offices.
The Urs celebrations, marking the 981st anniversary of revered saint Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri (RA), are underway and will conclude on August 26.
To ensure the safety and security of attendees, extensive measures have been put in place.
These include the deployment of 144 CCTV cameras, the establishment of a central control room, and the installation of 18 LCD screens around the venue for monitoring the event.
