Perpetrators are terrorists, not disgruntled Baloch, says CM Bugti
Bugti said that was no need for a grand operation in the province
Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has stated that those carrying out these actions are not disgruntled Baloch but terrorists.
Addressing a pressing conference on Monday in Quetta, Bugti said that was no need for a grand operation in the province.
He said that 38 innocent civilians were martyred. "No Baloch has killed any Punjabi; these terrorists have targeted Pakistanis. Terrorists have no religion," he said.
He emphasized that the culprits would be brought to justice, revealing that 21 terrorists had already been killed. "This is not just brutality; it is genocide. These terrorists, along with their facilitators and sympathizers, will face the consequences. Innocent people were taken off buses and martyred after being identified. We will avenge these attacks."
Bugti reiterated that those involved are not simply "disgruntled Baloch" but terrorists spreading chaos. "These terrorists are spreading disorder on the land. The state stands with the oppressed. This is a fight of the state, and it must be fought by the judiciary, media, and civil society as well. These terrorists are targeting soft spots."
The Chief Minister also mentioned that the door to dialogue remains open, but the state's authority will be upheld. "I support negotiations, but with whom? Should we negotiate with those who murder innocent laborers?"
He urged Baloch youth not to fall prey to the propaganda of these terrorists. "If the youth have grievances regarding jobs or governance, they should come forward and talk."
Bugti also addressed the issue of check posts, stating, "There are calls to remove check posts, but why should we? We will establish them wherever necessary. There's no need for a grand operation. Propaganda is being spread from abroad via social media. We will see how to limit 4G services. The terrorists involved in the Bela attack were in contact via WhatsApp."
The Chief Minister further accused Bashir Zeb of seeking to break Pakistan and supporting the BLA. "These people are talking about breaking Pakistan through weapons. I urge the youth not to be misled—come and help the state."
He concluded by saying that the capabilities of the security forces will be enhanced, and terrorism will be eradicated as a challenge. "We will not be swayed by propaganda tools. When we remove check posts, there are objections. It's unacceptable to take a government salary while sympathizing with the BLA. These terrorists receive American weapons from Afghanistan. A conspiracy is underway against Pakistan."
It should be noted that in the last 24 hours, over 37 people have been killed in a series of terrorist incidents across multiple districts of Balochistan.
Additionally, 14 security personnel were martyred and 21 terrorists were killed in these attacks.
