No forward bloc in PTI, says Barrister Gohar
PTI Chairman says his party submitted documents for the intra party elections on March 8
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Tuesday, has denied any forward bloc within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, stating party members were united despite various challenges.
Talking to media in Islamabad, PTI Chairman said that his party had submitted documents for the intra party elections on March 8 but ECP remained reluctant to provide a certificate.
“Supreme Court had ordered the declaration of 39 members as PTI MNAs, and the ECP sought guidance from the Supreme Court, hoping for a clear ruling soon,” said the Khan.
He was hopeful that the certificate provided for 39 candidates was applicable to all candidates.
He also expressed his hope that that local body elections in Islamabad would occur on time, with PTI expected to achieve a clean sweep if they do.
“PTI is a political party united under the ideology of its founder, Imran Khan that not require any symbols,” Khan added.
