Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praises Sufyan Mehsud for bringing honor to Pakistan and his family by setting a Guinness World Record at such a young age


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday expressed the government’s commitment to channeling the energy of youth in a positive direction by providing ample sports opportunities.
He made these remarks during a meeting with five-year-old Sufyan Mehsud from Dera Ismail Khan, who recently set a Guinness World Record, in Islamabad.
The Prime Minister praised Sufyan Mehsud for bringing honor to Pakistan and his family by setting a Guinness World Record at such a young age. He directed Rana Mashhood, Chairman of the Youth Program, and other relevant officials to expand sports activities for the youth.
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan’s talented youth are a guarantee for the country’s bright future and praised their efforts in making the nation proud in the field of sports.
Speaking on the occasion, Sufyan Mehsud expressed his confidence in further enhancing Pakistan's reputation as a future scientist.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister also conversed with Sufyan Mehsud in his native Pashto. He also spoke with Sufyan’s father, Irfan Mehsud, who holds over 100 Guinness World Records and runs a training academy in Dera Ismail Khan. Irfan Mehsud briefed the Prime Minister about his academy and the successes of its athletes.
The meeting was also attended by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood, and the Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam.
