Islamabad: An Accountability Court (AC) in Islamabad on Monday extended the judicial remand of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the new Toshakhana reference till September 16.
Judge Nasir Javed Rana held a hearing in Adiala Jail. The PTI founder and Bushra Bibi were also presented in the courtroom.
Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi's lawyers Salman Safdar, Intizar Panjotha and Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry also appeared in the court.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi and Umair Majeed appeared in the court. The NAB prosecutor requested to call the judicial record of Toshakhana's old reference.
After hearing the arguments of the parties, the court rejected NAB's request to call for judicial records. The court will hear on September 6 the post-arrest bail applications of founder PTI and Bushra Bibi Toshakhana in the new reference.
