They also discussed commencement of Pakistan's tenure as a non-permanent member of UNSC


Islamabad: US Ambassador Donald Bloom met Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar and discussed important issues.
US Embassy spokesman Jonathan Lally said in a statement that Ishaq Dar and Donald Bloom discussed bilateral and regional issues including Afghan refugees. Protection of asylum seekers, cooperation in economic sectors, security, counter-terrorism, and regional cooperation were also discussed.
The meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister and the US Ambassador also discussed the commencement of Pakistan's tenure as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. Ambassador Bloom welcomed Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar's views on Pakistan's priorities for the United Nations General Assembly.
