Omar Ayub slams govt for running economy
He says economic progress of PTI tenure has been completely undone
Lahore: Opposition Leader Omar Ayub Khan has criticized the current government for its role in dismantling what he describes as a once-thriving economy.
Speaking to the media in Lahore on Tuesday, Ayub lamented that the economic progress made under the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration has been completely undone.
He alleged that Asif repeatedly submitted fake medical reports to facilitate Sharif's escape to London, further claiming that even the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was growing weary of Asif's conduct.
On the subject of the May 9 incidents, Ayub declared that PTI leaders and supporters fear only the Almighty, ruling out any possibility of offering apologies to anyone involved.
The opposition leader didn’t stop there, attributing the fall of the PTI government to former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa (Retd.), the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and the PML-N. He expressed dismay that young people are fleeing the country in search of better opportunities abroad, reflecting the bleak outlook many have for the future.
Despite the challenges, Ayub affirmed that the PTI's planned public rally would proceed as directed by the party's founder.
