London: Former New Zealander legendary batter Brendon McCullum on Tuesday has been appointed as England’s white-ball head coach.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had also extended the McCullum’s contract till 2027. McCullum will lead England in both the red and white-ball formats as the head coach from January 2025.
Legendary batter will coach England during the forthcoming white-ball assignments, including the England tour to India and the ICC Champions Trophy, scheduled in Pakistan, next February.
Earlier, McCullum had been appointed as England Test coach and played pivotal role in revamping England’s playing strategy, which is widely known as the ‘Bazball’ approach.
