Islamabad: The hearing of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhry has been postponed till September 19.

Election commission case hearing was held against PTI founder Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhry.  Naeem Haider Panjoth appeared before the ECP on behalf of former Prime Minister.

Founder PTI's lawyer requested for adjournment, saying that yesterday Fawad Chaudhry had applied for adjournment of the case till September 19, to which Member Sindh Nisar Durrani said that case is separate.

Shoaib Shaheen stated that the case of founder PTI is different. Naeem Panjotha said that he could not come due to busyness in different cases.

The Advocate General told the court that Fawad Chaudhry should have applied for exemption from attendance.

The Election Commission officials said that the statements of the witnesses against the founder PTI were to be recorded today. On which the Advocate General said that according to the orders of the High Court, the founder PTI can appear through video link.

Naeem Panjotha added that according to the jail authorities, the facility of video link is not available.

The ECP postponed the further hearing of the contempt of Election Commission case till September 19.
