Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and opposition leader Omar Ayub, Ssad Qaiser and Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza and others met former Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP) Chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal at his residence and requested him to withdraw his resignation.

During the meeting, Sardar Akhtar Mengal informed the delegation regarding the basic issues of Balochistan.

After this the delegation once again requested Mengal to withdraw his resignation and he once again refused to do so and said that the issues of Balochistan are not treated the way they should be.

It is pertinent to note that he had yesterday resigned from his membership of the National Assembly Membership and put forward the point that the rights of Balochistan are ignored.

Talking to media outside the Parliament, he said he was unable to serve the people of his constituency so he was tendering resignation from the NA membership.

“Nobody listens to us and it appears that no one is interested in the matters of Balochistan,” adding it's better to erect a stall of Pakora rather than doing politics.

He expressed complete no-confidence in the state, the president and the prime minister of Pakistan. Mengal further said that he tendered an apology to 65,000 voters for not serving them [in a true spirit] and argued that their voices were not being heard in the Lower House.

Mengal was elected MNA from NA-256 Khuzdar.
