Passenger dies in Dhaka flight, emergency landing in Karachi
Civil aviation medical team examined the passenger and by that time he had died
Karachi: The plane made an emergency landing at the Karachi airport after the passenger's health worsened on the flight from Sharjah to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
According to the aviation spokesperson, a 42-year-old Bangladeshi citizen on board the plane died. Air Arabia flight G9512 took off from Sharjah to Dhaka at 1:30am local time. 1.5 hours after departure, the flight entered Indian airspace and it was stated that the health of a passenger on the plane got worse.
According to aviation authorities, the pilot contacted the air traffic controller and requested permission for a medical emergency landing in Karachi and diverted the plane towards Karachi. After receiving permission from ATC, the flight made an emergency landing at Karachi Airport at 4:30am local time.
According to the civil aviation spokesperson, the civil aviation medical team examined the passenger and by that time he had died, after which the body was handed over to the airline after regulatory action and necessary appropriate measures.
The flight remained at the Karachi airport for two hours and then took the deceased from Jinnah International Airport Karachi to Dhaka at 6:30am.
