Gandapur reaches Peshawar after rumours of several-hours’ disappearance
Key PTI leaders were arrested outside Parliament House
Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur arrived at Peshawar from Islamabad several hours after he disappeared as the KP government spokesperson expressed ignorance about his whereabouts on Tuesday.
There were reports that the Islamabad police registered a case against Gandapur for violating SOPs regarding the Sangjani public rally.
“Ali Amin has reached back KP House in Islamabad and is fine. Thank you all for raising your voice and ensuring his release,” PTI leader Naeem Haider Panjutha said in an X post at 3:41am.
During the reported absence of the KP CM, the police arrested PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, MNA Sher Afzal Marwat, MNA Zubair Khanadvocate Shoaib Shaheen, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Zain Qureshi and others.
Raids were conducted in the federal capital and in the parts of Punjab to arrest other PTI leaders and activists nominated in three cases.
