Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on citizens to combat extremism by embracing the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Speaking at an Eid-e-Milad ceremony in Lahore today, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Prophet (PBUH) established a public welfare system grounded in high moral standards.
He urged collective efforts to elevate moral standards across various sectors in Pakistan, including education, socio-economics, and commerce.
Prime Minister Sharif stated that following the Prophet’s teachings is crucial for success and solving the nation’s problems. He stressed the need for unity, warning that division plays into the hands of Pakistan’s adversaries. “We must counter such divisive tactics through unified action,” he said.
Highlighting key aspects of a Muslim society, he noted that safeguarding minorities and vulnerable groups is essential for an Islamic civic life.
The Prime Minister also expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine, praising their sacrifices for independence and affirming his belief that they will ultimately achieve their rights.
