Washington: The United States said that it will not support Pakistan's ballistic missile program.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller stated in a press briefing, “We have always opposed Pakistan's ballistic missile program and we remain committed to that policy’.

Matthew Miller added that the United States will continue to act against groups that support deadly weapons so that the world and we can be safe from these deadly weapons.

He further said that the ban on lethal weapons is a guarantee of our national security, and that is why the series of bans and other measures will continue.

The spokesperson of the US State Department also stated that they have a close eye on Pakistan's ballistic program, but it has also been their close friend country.

The US State Department recently imposed sanctions on a Chinese research institute, a Chinese national, and three Chinese companies for alleged proliferation of deadly weapons.

US State Department spokesman Matthew continued to say that China's research institute has reportedly cooperated with Pakistan in purchasing equipment for Pakistan's Shaheen III and Ababil systems.
