Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued the deadline to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to submit documents in the intra-party election case.
A three-member bench headed by Member Sindh Nisar Durrani heard the PTI intra-party election case in the Election Commission of Pakistan.
During the hearing, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali Khan appeared before the Election Commission.
On this occasion, member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ikramullah said that by the way, where did you hold the election? You did not hold elections within five years, you will have to face the consequences.
Member Balochistan inquired whether PTI elections were held in Chamkani. To which Barrister Gohar replied that no sir! Elections were also held in Islamabad, we had to submit the documents, give time of seven to 10 days.
The bench asked the ECP officials what if they still do not recognise PTI's intra-party election, what will happen in the future. To which the DG Political Finance replied that the party would have no organizational structure.
During the hearing, the bench directed DG Political Finance to assist on this point.
Later, the Election Commission adjourned the hearing of the case till October 2, giving time to PTI to submit the documents.
