Three including minor killed, several injured in Lahore blast
Lahore: An explosion have been heard in Lahore’s Johar town on Wednesday.
As per initial reports, the blast took place in a residential area. The explosion reportedly damaged nearby houses and buildings, shattering glass of windows.
The sound of the blast was so loud that it was heard in faraway areas.
However, the nature of the blast has not been ascertained yet and the area has been cordoned off for further investigation.
According to an eye witness, the explosive device was installed in a motorcycle that was parked outside the house.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot after getting information to carry out the rescue operation.
Officials stated that sixteen people have sustained injuries and have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital. The management of the hospital has been directed to provide all necessary medical treatment and asked people to donate blood for the injured.
While taking the notice of the incident, Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar has summoned IG Punjab to report.
