Lt Gen Asim Malik will assume his new charge on September 30


Rawalpindi: Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik has been appointed Director General (DG) Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI), said Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.
According to the ISPR, Lt Gen Asim Malik will assume his new charge on September 30. He is currently serving as Adjutant General at GHQ.
Lt Gen Asim Malik has previously commanded the Infantry Division in Balochistan and the Infantry Brigade in Waziristan. He has also been posted as Chief Instructor National Defense University (NDU) and Instructor Command and Staff College Quetta.
Lt Gen Asim is also a graduate of Fort Leavenworth and the Royal College of Defense Studies, receiving the Sword of Honor in his course.
