Shah Rukh Khan publicized why he would never work with Akshay Kumar
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has given a solid reason for not undertaking a film with Akshay Kumar.

In an interview, when Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan was asked why he has not done any film with Akshay Kumar to date, to which Shah Rukh Khan said that “What can I say about it, in fact I can not get up early in the morning while Akshay is accustomed to getting up early in the morning and when he gets up it is my bedtime so how can we work together.”
“His day starts early. By the time I start working, he is packing up and going home. So, he can put in more hours of work. I’m a nocturnal person. Not many people are fond of shooting at night like me.”
Shah Rukh had added that if they indeed work together, they will never meet on the sets. “It will be fun to act with Akshay. Dono set pe hi nahin milenge. ‘Woh jaa raha hoga aur main aa raha hounga’. I would like to work with him, but our timings won’t match.”
Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar have both been around in the film industry since the early 1990s but the two haven’t done many films where they worked with each other.
The closest they came to featuring in a film together was Dil To Pagal Hai where Shah Rukh Khan played the lead role and Akshay played a significant cameo.
A rare photo from those days is doing the rounds on the internet and has certainly taken the audience down memory lane.
On the work front, King Khan is looking forward to the release of Pathan.
He was last seen on the screen in 2018’s Zero.
While Akshay is looking forward to the release of Bell Bottom, Sooryavanshi, Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi Re, Raksha Bandhan and Ram Setu.
Bell Bottom is scheduled for a release on July 27.
