Lt Gen Muhammad Ali appointed Defence Secretary

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali as the Defence Secretary.
The Establishment Division (ED) issued a notification for the appointment of Lt Gen Muhammad Ali as the Defence Secretary.
According to the announcement, the new Defence Secretary has been appointed for a period of two years and three months. The appointment of the Defence Secretary will be effective from October 1, 2024.
A statement from the ED Lt Gen. Muhammad Ali will continue as the secretary till December 31, 2026.
