Colombo: The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has appointed former star cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya as the full-time head coach of the team for one year.
Former cricketer has been serving as the interim head coach, and his new term would begin following the Test series against New Zealand, stated Sri Lankan media.
Notably, under Jayasuriya's coaching, the Sri Lankan team had achieved victories against India in a one-day series and England in a Test match on their home ground.
