Rawalpindi: The new Director General (DG) Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik will take charge of his post today (Monday).
Asim Malik is one of the most important and talented operational commanding officers of the Pakistan Army, who is fully capable of accomplishing the most difficult objectives with his timely actions. He is an officer with expertise in many military matters including operational intelligence.
Lt Gen Asim Malik has previously commanded the Infantry Division in Balochistan and the Infantry Brigade in Waziristan. He has also received the sword of honor in his course and has also been posted as Chief Instructor National Defense University (NDU) and Instructor Command and Staff College Quetta.
He is also a graduate of Fort Leavenworth and the Royal College of Defense Studies, having previously served in the Directorate of Military Operations.
