Islamabad: The federal government on Sunday imposed a ban on the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM).
The Ministry of Interior has officially issued a notification announcing the ban on PTM.
According to the statement, PTM is deemed a threat to national peace and security, leading to the ban under Section 11-B of the 1997 Anti-Terrorism Act.
It is worth noting that just a few days ago, PTM leader Manzoor Pashteen had met with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
During this meeting, Pashteen invited Gandapur to participate in the Pashtun National Court.
