Stock market up by 61 points to close at 47,962
Islamabad: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday gained 61.84 points, with a positive change of 0.13 per cent, closing at 47,962.54 points against 47,900.70 points on the last working day.
A total of 638,843,404 shares in the KSE 100-index were traded during the day compared to the trade of 619,119,613 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs16.375 billion against Rs18.646 billion the previous day.
As many as 421 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 207 of them recorded gain and 187 sustained losses whereas the share price of 27 companies remained unchanged.
