Pakistan demands probe into theft, illegal sale of nuclear material in India
Nuclear material is being stolen and sold from the neighboring country
Washington: Pakistan's permanent representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, demanded an investigation by the Security Council on the theft and illegal sale of nuclear materials in India.
Addressing the Security Council, Munir Akram said that Pakistan is concerned about the incidents of theft and illegal sale of nuclear materials in India.
He stated that nuclear material is being stolen and sold from the neighboring country, and radioactive material worth $100 million has been seized this year.
Pakistan's permanent representative to the United Nations further said that the theft and sale of nuclear material from a neighboring country should be immediately investigated by the Security Council.
