IHC orders to de-seal KP House
CDA's counsel said that the lease of KP House had expired in 2014
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered to de-seal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.
The IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq heard the request of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, in which Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) lawyer gave arguments.
During the hearing, CDA's lawyer said that there is illegal construction in KP House and some dues are still pending, for which the first notice was sent in 2014.
On this, Justice Aamer Farooq spoke to the CDA lawyer that you can do it according to the law. If there is anything, notice it, they will look into this. Don't act like you are targeting someone, I will pass the order today to de-sell the house.
CDA's counsel said that the lease of KP House had expired in 2014. On this, the Chief Justice asked when CDA had issued notices. A notice should have been issued even before sealing the house, it is a shame to seal a provincial house, I am ordering to de-seal the KP house.
Later, the court ordered to de-seal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.
