Islamabad: Pakistan’s registered death toll from coronavirus infections rose towards 22,000 but some data suggested the spread of the disease has been contained.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,052 cases of coronavirus were reported while 44 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 22,152.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 952,907.
As many as 897,834 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,029 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 345,546 in the province with 10,700 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 334,453in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,392.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 137,484 in the province with 4,294 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 26,893 confirmed cases while 304 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 20,121 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 576. On the other hand, there are 5,908 cases in GB with 111 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 82,502 cases in the capital city while 775 people have lost their lives.
