Park Road has been closed at Bani Gala and Rawal Dam Chowk from Club Road


Islamabad: Strict security arrangements have been made on the occasion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference in the federal capital.
The 23rd Summit of the SCO is all set to begin today in Islamabad in which Prime Ministers and other dignitaries of eight countries including the host Pakistan are participating.
Because of tight security in Islamabad, all roads leading to Red Zone have been closed. Park Road has been closed at Bani Gala and Rawal Dam Chowk from Club Road.
According to the traffic police, Faisal Avenue at Faizabad and from IJP Road to I8, Kashmir Highway to Convention Center and Bara Kahu to Murree Road have been closed.
Because of the security on the occasion of the SCO conference in the federal capital, Islamabad, the flow of traffic will be affected at different times in the twin cities. The entry of all types of heavy traffic in Islamabad has been closed from October 14 to 16. And a public holiday has also been declared at the local level.
