New Zealand win Test match against India after 36 years
Entire Indian team was dismissed by scoring only 46 runs
Bengaluru: New Zealand won a Test match in India after 36 years.
The Kiwi team defeated India by eight wickets in the Bengaluru Test, after which they took a one-nil lead in the three-match series, while New Zealand's Richan Ravindra was named the player of the match for his brilliant batting.
It is pertinent to note that in the first innings of the same match, the entire Indian team was dismissed by scoring only 46 runs.
The Indian team won the toss and decided to bat but the Kiwi bowlers proved to be a nightmare for them.
Five players including Virat Kohli got out for zero including Sarfaraz Khan, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin while Rishabh Pant top scored for India with 20 runs.
This is India's third-lowest score in Test cricket, and also the lowest score by an Indian cricket team at home.
New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry dismissed five players.
