Veteran Pakistani actress Begum Khurshid passes away
Lahore: Veteran Pakistani actress Begum Khursheed Shahid passed away on Sunday following a cardiac arrest. She was 95.

As per details, the actress was a Pakistani film actress from Lahore, and the mother of film actor Salman Shahid.
Begum Khurshid was put on the ventilator after suffering a heart attack and had been in the hospital for some time.
The family of Begum, was looking forward to her recovery after doctors at the hospital indicated that she may be taken off the ventilator.
Her funeral prayers will be offered at 4 pm today in Defense Phase 2T Block while her burial will be held in Phase 7 Cemetery.
The 95-year old started her career with All India Radio at the age of nine. His popular dramas include Zabar Pesh, Uncle Arfi, Karan Kahani, Parchain and Dhand.
Begum Khurshid Shahid was also an official of the All Pakistan Women's Association and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Excellence in 1984.
