Rawalpindi: Security forces killed a terrorist and apprehended another in injured condition during an operation in general area Sambaza, Zhob district.
Pakistan Military’s media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operation was conducted on night between 29 and 30 October 2024, on reported presence of terrorist.
During conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and militants, as a result of which, one terrorists was killed, while one was apprehended in injured condition. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from them.
Sanitization operation is being conducted to neutralize any other terrorists present in the area.
“Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan,” said ISPR in a statement.
On October 27, the security forces eliminated four terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A statement issued by the military media wing said that an intelligence-based operation was conducted in North Waziristan district where, after an intense exchange of fire, two terrorists including Insafullah, were killed.
In another operation in the Khyber district, security forces killed two terrorists and injured three others.
The militants were “actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the law enforcement agencies as well as the innocent civilians."
