PTI will stage protest in Swabi on Nov 9, says CM Gandapur
He condemns the arrests and detention of PTI workers across the country
Rawalpindi: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Saturday announced to hold protest in Swabi on November 9.
Talking to media outside the Adiala Jail, Gandapur said that PTI would reveal its plan if the ban to hold meetings with Imran Khan is imposed again.
He said, “It is time to oust this government that came into power through rigged election.”
He also condemned the arrests and detention of PTI workers across the country.
“We’ll announce our final plan at Swabi interchange on November 9,” said CM Gandapur.
He added that the PTI founder wasn’t provided facilities at jail.
The firebrand CM said that he wasn’t holding negotiations with the establishment.
Earlier, Gandapur denounced the state’s approach towards PTI workers, asserting that the government's tactics are aimed at planting fear but have instead highlighted the flaws in the country's system.
Addressing the media in Peshawar, Gandapur described the arrests of numerous PTI workers, highlighting that their protests remained peaceful and were within their constitutional rights.
"Despite our peaceful stance, we faced fascist actions, including tear gas shelling, rubber bullets, and other aggressive measures," he had said.
