Court grants Bushra Bibi exemption from appearance in Toshakhana 2
The case was heard by Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand at Adiala Jail
Rawalpindi: An Accountability Court in Rawalpindi has granted former First Lady Bushra Bibi an exemption from appearance in the Tosha Khana 2 case, instructing her to attend the next hearing.
The case was heard by Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand at Adiala Jail, where both defense and prosecution presented their arguments.
Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Salman Safdar, who also represents PTI founder Imran Khan, submitted the exemption request and filed acquittal pleas for both individuals. Safdar argued that additional supportive documents were still pending and asked for more time.
The prosecution opposed these acquittal pleas, accusing the defense of using them to delay the indictment process. The prosecutor noted that multiple indictment dates had been scheduled previously, but progress stalled due to such requests.
After hearing both sides, the court adjourned the case until November 8, instructing both parties to conclude their arguments on the acquittal pleas by the next hearing.
