Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry has announced that state-run Pakistan Television (PTV) will also become fully HD in the first week of August.

While addressing the National Assembly session, Fawad said that Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) will be transformed into a digital media news agency on the pattern of Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Reuters.
“Radio Pakistan will be completely digitalized as part of efforts by the government to strengthen the institutions. New programming of Radio Pakistan will be visible in the month of August this year,” he said.

“Government has started the process to provide unprecedented facilitation to the journalist community. They have been made part of Kamyab Jawan and Naya Pakistan Housing Program,” he said.
