Mohammad Nabi will retire from ODI cricket after the Champions Trophy


Kabul: Afghanistan cricket team's all-rounder Muhammad Nabi has announced his retirement from One Day International (ODI) cricket.
Afghanistan Cricket Board Chief Executive Naseeb Khan said that Mohammad Nabi will retire from ODI cricket after the Champions Trophy and he has informed the Cricket Board about his retirement.
According to the chief executive, several months ago Mohammad Nabi had discussed his retirement and informed that he would say goodbye to ODI cricket after the Champions Trophy.
Afghanistan Cricket Board Chief Executive stated that they would welcome Mohammad Nabi's decision and understand that he wants to continue his career in T20 cricket.
It is pertinent to note that Mohammad Nabi made his debut for Afghanistan in 2009. The 39-year-old cricketer announced his retirement from Test cricket in 2019.
