Constitutional bench dismissed the review petition filed against Qazi Faez Isa

Islamabad: The Constitutional Bench Thursday dismissed the review petition filed against former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Qazi Faez Isa.
A six-member constitutional bench headed by Justice Aminuddin comprising Justice Jamal Mandokhel, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Musarat Hilali, and Justice Naeem Akhtar heard the constitutional case of Qazi Faez as Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court (BHC).
Justice Jamal Mandokhel said that this is a review petition, and the case cannot be reopened.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that the Supreme Court also heard the Bhutto case after 40 years.
Justice Musarat Hilali stated that this forum is not for political speeches or backbiting, you cannot deviate from the law.
Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar asked why are you getting angry? Listen to the court.
Justice Aminuddin said that the court is asking you questions but why are you not answering?
Justice Jamal Mandokhel asked the petitioner if he wanted to reopen the case.
The petitioner's lawyer said: “I am stating the facts to the court, I do not have the record but can be requested from Balochistan”.
Justice Aminuddin asked how consultation with the Chief Minister is necessary as per law.
Justice Musarat Hilali said that no need to get personal in cases and leave Mr Qazi on his own.
Justice Jamal further said that on such a request, he would request the head of the bench to send the matter to the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC).
The constitutional bench dismissed the review petition filed against Qazi Faez Isa.
It is pertinent to note that the hearing regarding constitutional cases is ongoing in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
